Blogging is all about creating informative & beneficial content that will help your audience make the best decisions for their lives and families.

As a blogger, your primary objective isn’t to sell products.  Your #1 top priority is always to solve your reader’s problem.  Your reader is visiting your website for one of the following reasons:  education, information, entertainment, or purchasing necessities or luxury items. 

When it comes to content strategy, it’s critical to know your target market demographics and to develop buyer personas in order to truly help your reader.  The more you understand the problems your reader is facing, the better you’ll be able to help them.  If you’re providing your reader with enough information to make an educated, well informed decision without pushing a product or service on them, you’re more likely to make a sale.  People want. tobe able to make their own decisions – and the best way they can do that is to have all the facts laid before them in an organized manner that will allow them to review the details that will give them the best return on their investment.  Customers want to know they’re getting the best possible return on the money they’re spending – when you’re selling products, do it in a way that informs your readers that a specific product or service can solve their problem for a good price.  Expalin to the customer exactly what the product or service is solving, and explain exactly what they will recieve in exchange for their money.  You don’t need to pile in a bunch of phony reviews if you’re selling high quality products – the facts will do that for you.  You’re just giving them the information in a way that is easy for them to consume.  Make sure your content is readable, well written, and easy to understand.  Make your purchase links easy to click – don’t confuse your purchase links with other ad links – and you’ll find yourself making plenty of extra cash by providing the solutions your customers are seeking.  Not only that, but you’ll feel good knowing that you helped somebody find an answer to their problem.  

*On a personal note, I’d highly recommend not affiliating with products or services just because a company *approved you through your affiliate platform.* Just because you were approved to sell a product doesn’t mean you should.  I’d recommend only selling products or services that you are comfortable selling to your neighbor.  Don’t sell products or services that you haven’t personally used before or that you do not have first hand knowledge about.  Doing so can cause you to lose trust with your reader base – if you don’t provide truthful reviews and information on smaller products, why should they trust you on larger products?  Blogging ultimately comes down to writing with integrity – maintain your integrity & keep your standards high when it comes to the products & services you promote – don’t lie about a product just because they payout is high – tell people the good, the bad, & the ugly, and you’ll do just fine.
